The journey takes you through the countryside and local villages of East Java. Along the way, you can enjoy the changing scenery before arriving at your hotel near Mount Bromo.
After check-in, you will have time to relax and prepare for the early-morning Bromo sunrise tour.
Overnight: Bromo Area
Day 2 – Bromo Sunrise Tour and Transfer to Ijen
The Bromo adventure starts early in the morning.
You will travel by 4WD Jeep to one of the popular sunrise viewpoints overlooking the Bromo volcanic landscape. If the weather is clear, you may see the sunrise illuminating Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru in the distance.
After sunrise, the Jeep continues toward the famous Sea of Sand.
From the parking area, you can walk or choose an optional horse ride toward Mount Bromo. A climb of approximately 250 steps leads to the crater rim, where you can experience the dramatic volcanic landscape.
The journey then continues to other Bromo attractions, such as the Savanna and Whispering Sands, depending on weather and road conditions.
After the Bromo tour, return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower before checking out.
Continue the journey toward the Ijen area, with lunch along the way. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take some time to rest because the Ijen adventure starts around midnight.
Overnight: Bondowoso or Banyuwangi Area
Day 3 – Ijen Blue Fire and Crater Sunrise
The Ijen adventure is one of the most memorable experiences of the tour.
Around midnight, you will depart for the Ijen area and begin the trek toward Ijen Crater.
Ijen is famous for its unique Blue Fire phenomenon. When conditions permit and access is allowed, visitors may have the opportunity to see the spectacular blue flames before sunrise.
After experiencing the Blue Fire, continue toward the crater viewpoint and watch the sunrise over the turquoise Ijen Crater Lake.
The surrounding landscape creates an impressive combination of volcanic mountains, colorful crater waters, and morning mist.
You may also see traditional sulfur miners carrying heavy loads of sulfur from the crater. Their daily work is an important part of the unique character of Mount Ijen.
After completing the trek, return to the hotel for breakfast and rest before continuing to Surabaya or to Bali DENPASAR
